55-57.5-60 °C. LIV: 3-3.5-4 days. DEP: log10 minus 4-5 (1/1). Leaf sap
contains many virions (1/1).
Particle morphology
Virions isometric; not enveloped;
25-27.25-32 nm in diameter; angular in profile; without a conspicuous capsomere
arrangement.
Physical properties

nucleic acid; 67-83.5-100 % protein; 0 % lipid.
Genome consists of RNA (1/1); single-stranded (1/1); linear (1/1). Total
genome size 10.8 kb. Genome of two parts (1/1); largest (or only) genome part
6.3 kb; the 2nd largest 4.5 kb. Base composition 26 % G; 30 % A; 17.5 % C; 26.5
% U. Infectivity retained when deproteinised with phenol or detergent (1/1).
Features of proteins
Virion protein(s) two;
Mr 42000-43500-45000. Mr of 2nd largest 26000-27250-28500.
Replication
Replication does not depend on a helper
virus.
Cytopathology
Virions found in cytoplasm. Inclusions
present in infected cells (1/1); are crystals in the cytoplasm (1/1), or
amorphous X-bodies (1/1); they contain virions (1/1).
