in Ipomoea batatas; from Taiwan; by Liao et al. (1979).
Natural host range and symptoms
Symptoms persist.
- Ipomoea batatas - stunting, chlorosis (chlorophyll content
decreased by 50%), poor roots and tubers.
Transmission
Transmitted by a vector; an insect;
Bemisia tabaci; Aleyrodidae. Transmitted in a persistent manner. Virus
transmitted by mechanical inoculation; transmitted by grafting.

Experimental host range
Several (3-9) families
susceptible.
Diagnostically susceptible host species and
symptoms
- Ipomoea batatas cv. Tainung 63 - severe
systemic leaf chlorosis and stunting.
- Chenopodium spp., Gomphrena
