Natural host range and symptoms
Symptoms persist.
- Glycine max - yellow vein banding or mottling.
Transmission
Transmitted by means not involving a vector.
Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation; transmitted by grafting.

Experimental host range
Few (<3) families susceptible.
Diagnostically susceptible host species and symptoms
- Chenopodium amaranticolor, C. quinoa - chlorotic local
lesions; not systemic.
- Glycine max - systemic yellow vein
symptoms.
Diagnostically insusceptible host species
Cucumis sativus, Nicotiana tabacum, Vigna mungo, V. radiata, V.
unguiculata ssp. sesquipedalis.

TIP:
35-40 °C (in Glycine max leaf sap). LIV: 0.125-0.25 days (at 4ºC).
DEP: log10 minus 3-4.
Particle morphology
Virions rod-shaped, or
filamentous; usually straight; with a clear modal length; of 500-550 nm; 15-20
nm wide. Axial canal obscure. Basic helix obscure.
