Virus not transmitted by mechanical
inoculation; transmitted by grafting.

Spreads in Canada, the USA, and the UK (probably).

biochemical properties
Properties of particles in sap
Leaf sap
contains few virions.
Particle morphology
Virions filamentous; not enveloped;
usually flexuous; with a clear modal length; of 504 nm; 13 nm wide.
Cytopathology
Virions found in leaves and mesophyll; in
cytoplasm. Inclusions present in infected cells; aggregated they contain
virions.
