in Plantago lanceolata; from the U.K.; by Hammond (1981).
Natural host range and symptoms
Symptoms none.
- Plantago lanceolata - occurs only with other viruses, but
alone possibly causes no conspicuous symptoms.
Transmission
Presumably transmitted by aphids. Virus
transmitted by mechanical inoculation.
Geographical
distribution
Spreads in the UK. Found, but with no evidence of spread,
in England (Cambridge).

- Cucumis sativus, Plantago lanceolata - symptomless.

Leaf sap
contains few virions.
Particle morphology
Virions filamentous; not enveloped;
usually flexuous; with a clear modal length; of 600-640 nm; 13 nm wide. Axial
canal obscure. Basic helix obscure.
