Physical and biochemical properties

Particle morphology

Virions bacilliform, or rhabdo- or bullet-shaped; with a clear modal length; of 200-250 nm (when measured in leaf sections); 60-70 nm wide. Axial canal obvious.

Cytopathology

Virions found in mesophyll, epidermis and phloem occasionally; in the perinuclear space.

Possible Nucleorhabdovirus: Rhabdoviridae
