First reported
in Cajanus cajan; from Dominican Republic; by Hirumi et al.
(1973).
Natural host range and symptoms
Symptoms persist.
- Cajanus cajan - stunting, bushiness, although leaf size
normal, base of midrib of young leaflets chlorotic, rough brown surface of
branches.
Transmission
Transmitted by a vector; an insect; possibly
the leafhopper, Empoasca papayae; Cicadellidae. Virus not transmitted by
mechanical inoculation; not transmitted by contact between plants; not
transmitted by seed; not transmitted by pollen.
Geographical
distribution
Spreads in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Papua
New Guinea, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, and Trinidad and Tobago.
