Natural host range and symptoms
Symptoms persist.
- Zea mays - chlorotic `eyespotting', and chlorosis.
Transmission
Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation.
Geographical distribution
Spreads in Cote d'Ivoire.
Experimental host range
Few (<3) families susceptible.

- Zea mays - chlorotic `eyespotting', and chlorosis.
- Avena sativa, Bromus sterilis - symptomless systemic infection.
- Hordeum vulgare - systemic chlorotic rings and mosaic.
- Triticum aestivum, T. durum, Nicotiana megalosiphon - symptomless.

southern bean mosaic, broad bean stain, pea enation mosaic, squash mosaic,
cowpea mosaic, tobacco ringspot, tomato ringspot, cucumber mosaic, peanut stunt,
tomato aspermy and red clover mottle viruses.
