in Helenium amarum; from Germany; by Kuschki et al. (1978).
Natural host range and symptoms
Symptoms persist.
- Helenium amarum hybrids - leaf chlorosis, flower breaking and
stunting.
Transmission
Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation.
Geographical distribution
Experimental host range
Few (<3) families susceptible.
Diagnostically susceptible host species and symptoms
- Chenopodium album, C. amaranticolor, C. quinoa -
chlorotic local lesions; systemic chlorotic spotting and leaf distortion in
C. quinoa.
- Gomphrena globosa - chlorotic and, later,
necrotic local lesions; no systemic infection.
Diagnostically
insusceptible host species
Chrysanthemum segetum, Cucumis sativus,
Helianthus annuus, Nicotiana clevelandii, Phaseolus vulgaris.

Chenopodium album, C.
amaranticolor, C. quinoa.
