ampeloprasum var. holmense, A. porrum - no obvious
symptoms.
Transmission
Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation.
Geographical distribution
Probably distributed worldwide.
Spreads in Argentina, the former Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, Israel, Japan,
and the UK.
Diagnostically susceptible host species and symptoms
- Celosia argentea - chlorotic and/or necrotic local
lesions; no systemic infection.
- Chenopodium amaranticolor - faint
green local rings; no systemic infection.
- Chenopodium murale, C.
quinoa - chlorotic etched local lesions; no systemic infection.
- Nicotiana occidentalis - no local symptoms, systemic vein
necrosis.
