Badami and Kassanis (1959).
Natural host range and symptoms
- Solanum
jasminoides - symptoms unknown all the naturally infected plants examined
also contained potato Y and tobacco wilt viruses.
Transmission
Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation.

- Nicotiana tabacum - vein banding and mosaic.

Properties of particles in sap
TIP:
60-65 °C. LIV: 8-12 days. DEP: log10 minus 4. Leaf sap contains few virions.
Particle morphology
Virions filamentous; not enveloped;
usually flexuous; with a clear modal length; of 750 nm. Axial canal obscure.
Basic helix obscure.
