Natural host range and symptoms

Symptoms persist.
• Cucumis sativus, Citrullus vulgaris - vein clearing, leaf chlorosis and necrosis.

Transmission

Transmitted by a vector; an insect; Bemisia tabaci; Aleyrodidae. Transmitted in a semi-persistent manner. Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation; transmitted by grafting; not transmitted by contact between plants.

Geographical distribution

Spreads in Israel.

Experimental host range

Few (<3) families susceptible.

Diagnostically susceptible host species and symptoms

• Cucumis sativus, Citrullus vulgaris - systemic leaf chlorosis.

Diagnostically insusceptible host species

Cucurbita moschata, Ecballium elaterium, Nicotiana glutinosa, Pisum sativum, Chenopodium amaranticolor.

Cucumis sativus, Citrullus vulgaris.
