Natural host range and symptoms
Symptoms persist.
- Abelmoschus esculentus, Gossypium barbadense, Hibiscus cannabinus,
Sida rhombifolia, S. micrantha - reddening of mature leaves.
Transmission
Transmitted by a vector; an insect; Aphis
gossypii; Aphididae. Transmitted in a persistent manner. Virus not
transmitted by mechanical inoculation; transmitted by grafting; not transmitted
by contact between plants; not transmitted by seed.

Studies reported by Costa (1957).

Few (<3) families susceptible.
Experimentally infected plants mostly show reddening.
