in Cardamine spp.; from the Snowy Mountains, NSW, Australia; by Guy and
Gibbs (1985).
Natural host range and symptoms
- Cardamine
lilacina ssp. B and C - latent.
Transmission
Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation.
Geographical distribution
Spreads in Australia (southern New
South Wales, but probably not in Tasmania).
Experimental host range
Few (<3) families susceptible.
Experimentally infected plants mostly show local lesions vein-clearing.
Diagnostically susceptible host species and symptoms
- Chenopodium quinoa - large local lesions; not systemic.
- Sinapis alba cv. White Mustard - systemic vein clearing with
leaves malformed.
Diagnostically insusceptible host species
Brassica campestris ssp. pekinensis.
