Host range and symptoms
First reported
in Trifolium hybridum; from Sweden; by Gerhardson and Lindsten (1971).
Natural host range and symptoms
Symptoms vary seasonally.
- Trifolium hybridum - vein chlorosis, malformation.
Transmission
Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation;
not transmitted by seed; not transmitted by pollen.
Geographical
distribution
Spreads in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
Experimental host range
Few (<3) families susceptible.
Experimentally infected plants mostly show necrotic local lesions, not systemic.

Vigna unguiculata - chlorotic local lesions; not systemic.
- Lathyrus odoratus - chlorotic local lesions, wilting, death.
- Pisum sativum - necrotic local lesions; leaf malformation, death.
- Trifolium hybridum, T. incarnatum - systemic mosaic, chlorosis.
- Vicia faba - necrotic and chlorotic local lesions; usually not
systemic.
