Virion protein(s) one; M_r 37800; coat protein.

Cytopathology

Virions found in cytoplasm.

Taxonomy and relationships

Possible Carmovirus: Tombusviridae

Virus(es) with serologically unrelated virions

Bean mild mosaic, blackgram mottle, carnation mottle, cucumber leaf spot, cucumber soil-borne, elderberry latent, galinsoga mosaic, glycine mottle, hibiscus chlorotic ringspot, melon necrotic spot, narcissus tip necrosis, pelargonium flower break, saguaro cactus, tephrosia symptomless and turnip crinkle carmoviruses and 12 tombusviruses.

Additional comments on relationships

In Northern blot hybridization tests, the genomic RNA showed some homology with that of Weddel waterborne carmovirus.
